Aromatherapy Bath Oil – The Perfect Way To Unwind Yourself
Executive Summary by Stefanie Young
Warm water has been used for relaxation for centuries, and combined with aromatherapy bath oil, it can really do wonders in healing your tired spirits after a rough day! Aromatic bath oil can be easily prepared at home, using essential oils and a carrier oil like jojoba, olive, sesame, coconut or even a pure Vitamin E based oil, which can be quite expensive though. But home-made oils work equally fine. Most commonly used aromatherapy bath oil ingredients are Ylang Ylang, Lemon, Lavender, Rose, Bergamot, Yarrow and Citrus. The base oils and essential oils are easily available from bath suppliers and even some grocery stores today.
Recipes for concocting your own bath oils are freely available too. You just need to add 15-30 drops of the essential oil to one ounce of the basic oil or the carrier oil. Add the essential oil drop by drop, as the aromatherapy oils work best when experienced at a gradual flow.
For example, PMS symptoms can be eased by adding a few drops of Geranium oil to your bath. Even Rosemary oil helps in relieving the PMS symptoms. The healing attributes of these oils directly get absorbed in our respiratory, skin and nervous systems. Not only do they work wonders on joint problems and muscle pains, but regular use of aromatherapy bath oil softens and nourishes the skin by absorbing the oils into our skin.
